The characteristics of crystals are wonderful and manifold; they can be fluorescent, magnetic, electric and radioactive. Within crystals, the most vivid colours and alluring transparencies co-exist. When the light falls upon them, they will shine and sparkle, but they can also be completely matt. Crystalline patterns are complex; supporting the crystal internally as well as externally.
In my investigation/research, I will let myself be inspired by crystals. I will work with the contrasts and complexions that can be found in their cosmos. My fabric collection will be a collection for women’s haute couture. It will bring together traditional techniques with new and innovating insights in order to compose a dynamic feeling. I want to create new structures and textures by using materials that range from high quality (Sophie Hallette lace, silk, wool) to raw quality.
